Engagement 04 · Agency collaboration · Web systems

The technical partner behind the agency work.

From 2018 to 2026, the engagement ran quietly behind an agency: campaign sites and landing pages, client platforms, forms and CRM integrations, tracking and conversion implementation, security and recovery — and, in its final years, Princeton Partners' own website.

Scope described from documented engagement correspondence between 2018 and 2026. No performance metrics are claimed for this engagement; the record here is one of properties supported, systems built, and continuity maintained.

01 — The shape of the work

The job was never one website.

Princeton Partners is an agency. The engagement sat behind it as an independent development partner — picking up whichever property the agency's clients and campaigns needed next, across industries that had nothing in common except a deadline.

Utilities, banking, food ingredients, solar, and the agency's own brand — each with its own hosting, stack, vendors, and tolerance for risk.

  • Behind the agency

Implementation partner to account, creative, and media teams — never competing with them for the client relationship.

  • Across industries

Regulated banking pages and consumer campaign sites handled with the same operating discipline.

  • Across vendors

Coordination with hosting providers, SEO and media partners, and client-side IT.

  • Across years

Properties handed back, revisited, and stewarded long after their launch campaigns ended.

02 — The operating handoff

From creative direction to working systems.

The same sequence held whether the property was a two-week campaign microsite or a platform stewarded for years.
  1. 01

    Direction

Agency strategy, creative, and client requirements arrive as designs, campaign briefs, and deadlines.

  2. 02

    Implementation

Front-end build of landing pages, campaign sites, and templates against the approved direction.

  3. 03

    Integration

Forms, CRM and email connections, redirects, and domain configuration wired into the build.

  4. 04

    Tracking

Pixels, retargeting, and conversion events implemented so media and SEO partners can measure.

  5. 05

    Launch + QA

Responsive and cross-browser checks, form testing, and coordinated go-live.

  6. 06

    Stewardship

Maintenance, security, backups, monitoring, and recurring campaign changes after launch.

03 — Campaign infrastructure

Properties that had to work the week they went live.

Campaign work has no grace period. Landing pages, domains, and forms had to be correct at launch because media spend was already committed behind them.

04 — Integration work

Where page production became operational systems.

A landing page that captures a lead is only useful if the lead lands somewhere a marketer can act on it. That requirement moved the role past front-end production.

Measurement implementation

  • Ad pixels

Platform pixels installed and verified across campaign properties.

  • Retargeting

Audience tagging implemented so media partners could build segments.

  • Conversion events

Events defined and fired on the actions the campaign was buying.

  • Vendor coordination

Implementation agreed with the media and SEO partners consuming the data.

Implementation is documented; campaign performance is not claimed here. Media results belonged to the agency and its clients.

05 — Stewardship under pressure

The calls that come when a site is already live.

iTi Tropicals ran for years as a stewarded platform rather than a delivered project. Most of that work was unglamorous and time-sensitive: recovery, hardening, deliverability, and coordination.
  • Recovery

Site restoration and remediation after incidents, with the platform returned to a known-good state.

  • Security

Hardening, updates, and monitoring maintained across a long-lived WordPress installation.

  • Technical SEO

Sitemap and crawl improvements coordinated with the client's search partners.

  • DNS + email

Domain records and email authentication coordinated so mail and forms stayed deliverable.

  • APIs + social

Troubleshooting of social and third-party API connections as platforms changed their rules.

  • Cross-vendor

Working alongside media, SEO, and hosting vendors without an intermediary translating.

06 — The agency's own platform

The relationship moved in-house to PrincetonPartners.com.

By 2024 the agency had brought the engagement onto its own website. Supporting the shop that had been sending the work out is a different kind of trust than being handed a client property.

01

Maintenance

Ongoing site maintenance and debugging on the agency's own property.

02

WP Engine

Staging workflow and cache troubleshooting on managed hosting.

03

Continuity

Backups, security, and performance monitoring held as routine, not as escalation.

04

SEO coordination

Working alongside Intellitonic through search optimization work on the site.

In 2025 Princeton Partners asked whether the engagement could be referred to a newly acquired company for web support — a signal of standing inside the relationship. In 2026 the agency confirmed that billing and support would conclude after August, closing the collaboration cleanly.

07 — Timeline

Eight years, one working relationship.

  1. Jul 2018

    Documented working relationship

Princeton Partners was assigning web and landing-page work directly to Bonitto / iCandy Webs — the earliest documented point of the collaboration.

  2. Late 2018 — 2019

    Campaign infrastructure

New Jersey Resources Home Services landing pages and campaign sites including FreeFurnaceNJ.com and njrhshomeconnect.com, with redirects and domain work, form testing, and a custom Constant Contact integration built against Caldera Forms.

  3. 2019

    Named as the web developer

Vendor coordination correspondence from 2019 records Princeton Partners referring to the engagement as “our web developer” when working with outside media and SEO partners.

  4. 2019 — 2023

    Client-property stewardship

Long-term iTi Tropicals WordPress maintenance, technical SEO coordination, security and recovery, DNS and email authentication, forms and contact-database workflows, and ad-pixel, retargeting, and conversion implementation. Peapack-Gladstone Bank campaign landing pages ran on a recurring update cycle; SolarProsNJ and other campaign properties received hosting and security support.

  5. 2024 — 2025

    PrincetonPartners.com support

Direct maintenance of the agency's own website: debugging, WP Engine staging and cache troubleshooting, backups, security and performance monitoring, and coordination with Intellitonic during SEO optimization work.

  6. 2025

    Referral signal

Princeton Partners asked permission to refer the engagement to a newly acquired company for web support — a trust signal within the relationship rather than a separate body of completed work.

  7. Aug 2026

    Close and transition

Princeton Partners confirmed that billing and support would conclude after August 2026, closing an approximately eight-year collaboration.
